Playtest HU

Join Harrisburg University of Science and Technology for the inaugural fundraiser Playtest HU – an event to playtest board games and meet both published and aspiring game designers, all to support our HU students’ conference travel.
 
Tabletop Game Design Studio is an HU course where students learn about the process of tabletop game design, as well as the business considerations involved in being a professional tabletop game designer. The course requires a class trip to PAX Unplugged in Philadelphia, PA where students will have their prototypes tested in the official UnPub space, granting them access to hundreds of passionate game players and game development professionals.
 
The cost for each student to travel to and attend this convention over the entire week is significant, so we are organizing this fundraiser to help ease the financial burden of our students while also providing a time and place for local game designers to have their own games playtested. This will also allow our students to engage with and learn from those who are more experienced in this phase of game development.
 
Additionally, we are inviting local vendors who serve the local gaming community to share their products / services with those who attend.

Vendor ($75 / $50 with a raffle prize donation):

Sell your wares! Vendors will gain access to an 8-foot table on the main floor of the event. Make connections for your brand with attendees who are new to the hobby gaming scene, local gaming enthusiasts, and game designers and publishers from around the region! Each Vendor will receive:

• An 8 foot table to display your products / services for the duration of the event
• Admission to the full day event
• A PlaytestHU sticker
• 1 raffle ticket for prizes
